I see you. I see your magic. It glows. Can you feel it?
Sometimes we hide our magic. Sometimes we neglect it. And sometimes we forget to tend to it. But it is there. When we allow ourselves to embody our magic we feel more confident and empowered. We feel more connected to our intuition and to Source. When we allow ourselves to be witnessed in this we allow these things to be reflected back to us and they magnify. After 18 years of working with my magical practices within the container of a women’s circle I have discovered not only how much more deeply this container has allowed me to drop into my own well of magic but how much more I have learned through the connections made in this space. As much as I have felt empowered (and at times humbled) by my own transformation, I have felt honored to hold witness to the transformation of others. I have seen how much change has occurred within my own life and the lives of those I circle with, from our time together. Increased confidence and self esteem and the ability to listen, truly listen to others and to self has been nurtured. And I want this for you! This is why I created the Priestess Path. The 13 moon 12 month journey to awaken your inner Priestess, embrace your magic and step into your power. Through a combination of foundational practices, self exploration, ritual and community we will spend a year together traversing this path. At the end we will cross the threshold of initiation to embody, empower and claim your space in the world as your Priestess Self. In addition this Path includes one year of membership in the Diving Deeper Community (a $636 value) and a private off Facebook social media circle. The next cohort begins February 5th. There are only 12 spots available. Is one of them yours? (Learn more about this Path and get access to early registration HERE) Not sure if this is for you? Join me January 23rd at 9:30 am PT for Priestessing in the Modern World. A free class where we will explore what it means to be a Priestess and journey together to meet your Priestess Self! (I’ll send you the link and a reminder the day before so make sure you mark your calendar).

This weekend I abandoned my computer. I have been spending far too much time with my face in the screen. My phone was still in my pocket, but the freedom of stepping away from my laptop was not only exciting, it was rejuvenating too!
I worked in the yard. I scrubbed my floor. I went to the river. Then to the ocean. I had so many creative ideas and I jotted them in notebooks and journals, but left their crafting for another time. I spent some time creatively writing and working with my tarot deck. I meditated. When we open up space for being, suddenly new ideas arise. Creativity needs space to become. When we spend time listening to the sounds of the natural world, when we see the awe and wonder that exist in a blade of grass or the screech of a hawk, we land in our connection with the earth energies and we allow our relationship to deepen. Where are you opening to the earth energies? Where are you making space for awe and wonder? You know what else happens when we reconnect with the natural world? We REMEMBER that we are a part of it. That our existence is woven into that of every living thing around us, every organism, animal, plant, tree and stone. We are all intertwined and it is here in this confluence that magic is born. This intersection where we are no longer just “me” and instead feel the river of “all” is the center of our magical practice. Your invitation is to let yourself sit here, in this flow, maybe for a minute, perhaps an hour or a day. Sit here, feeling the thrum of the tapestry of being and notice what unfolds. What ideas? What inspirations? What other invitations arise? Notice and then decide what you will do with this summoning, this request from the universe. Awaken Priestess! We all have a Priestess that lives inside of us. Sometimes she is bold and spends her days bringing her gifts into the world. Sometimes she is shy and hides in the shadows hoping she will not be seen. Often our relationship with our inner Priestess is flirtatious, we see her and feel her we might even fully embody her, only to step away knowing she is there but avoiding the reconnection for a time. Our Priestess Self is a powerful force. When I fully stand in my Priestess Presence I can feel the vibration of her energy coursing through me. I can feel that tapestry I referred to moments ago. When was the last time you connected to your Priestess Self? What kind of space does she take up in your life? How do her gifts make their way into the day to day of your life? I want to reacquaint you with your inner Priestess. I have created a FREE class “Priestessing in the Modern World”, where we explore what it means to Priestess in the world today and then we journey through a guided visualization where you are led to meet this powerful part of YOU! There are two chances to catch this live, January 23rd at 9:30 am PT and January 28th at 1:30am PT. I hope you’ll carve this time out and join me for this journey. I’ll send you a reminder and links to join as we get closer to these dates. In the meantime, I’d like to leave you with some information about the Priestess Path, A 12 lesson and 13 moon journey into Self. The next cohort begins February 5th. This course takes you through foundational practices, self exploration, magical tools and workings and culminates in an initiation, where you step fully into your power. You can learn more about this path and get on the waitlist here. (The waitlist gives you access to early registration) I’ve been hearing from a lot of people this last week who are just plain burnt out. The latest surge in the pandemic, the after holiday blues, the cold of Winter, all seem to be taking their toll.
So what can we do? How do we find hope? How do we refuel? How do we rekindle our flame without burning ourselves to a crisp? A few simple suggestions: Come back to yourself. Come back to the earth. Even in places where snow blankets the land, or the landscape is grey as far as the eye can see, there is medicine in the soil, in the bare trees in the animals that are making their way through this winter time. Take moments outdoors, let your eyes reach toward the horizon and then intensely focus on things that are right up close. See if you can discover the beauty in the world around you. Take a class. Is there something magical you have been wanting to learn more about? I bet there is a class to support this. There are many offerings out there catering to all the levels of learning and interests, as well as price points. (You’d be surprised how many free quality classes exist on the internet). This is a great time to deepen your practice by learning new skills. Having a place to focus your energy and mind on can really help to beat those winter blues. (I have several free classes available HERE for those who haven’t seen these yet) Do some divination. Perhaps using the question “What would nourish me the most right now?” as your focus, spend some time with your cards or runes or scrying tools or pendulum and charts and dive into your inner wisdom. How about some kitchen witchin? Make some medicine. Whether it’s elderberry syrup, tasty tea to support your wellness and warm you up, fire cider, or cooking up some delicious seasonal dishes (think root veggies and warm soups). Brew your intentions into the crafty creations you are mixing up. Announcements! The Priestess Path is opening its doors January 23rd. This year long journey has space for 12 wise ones, in this cohort. We come together 2 times per month over 13 moons, learning foundational practices, then building on these with explorations into our inner realms, so we can harness that inner wisdom as we learn about magical tools and allies. The entire voyage concludes with an initiation ceremony, that invites you to fully step into and embody your Priestess Self. Curious about what being a Priestess is all about? Join me for the FREE class Priestessing in the Modern World, where we will explore the ways Priestessing is appearing in the world around us and I will lead you on a journey to meet your Priestess Self. There are two opportunities to join this class live, Jan 23rd at 9:30 am and Jan 28tth at 1:30 pm PT. I’ll send out a reminder and link as we get closer. If you are interested in learning more about the Priestess Path you can check out the course outline HERE The Witch Next Door returns! Veronica and I synced up our schedules to record some new episodes of the Witch Next Door. The first of these (our season three debut) focuses on Intentions vs Resolutions. All episodes can be found across streaming platforms. Or you can click here for this most recent episode. Be gentle with yourselves Wise Ones. Now that holidays are behind us, are you feeling that weird “now what” that can accompany the new year?
On this 7th day of 2022, where are your thoughts going? Are you feeling clear and energized or muddied and confused. Our energy is directly connected to our practices. It is at the heart of every divination practice, spell, ritual or journey. When our energy is stuck or congested it can become difficult to really drop into the flow of Source. So how do we get unstuck? Simple practice Stand with your feet about hips width apart. Close your eyes. Take three cycles of breath like this just noticing what it feels like to breathe inside of your skin. Then begin to shake. This might be a small tremor that moves through your muscles It might grow into a full on shaking of your bones You will probably feel silly You might laugh You might cry Do this for a minute or two Then pause and close your eyes Come back to you. How do you feel? Can you feel the energy moving through your body now? Do you feel your aliveness? Your connection? There are simple practices we can bring into our day to day to help care for our Sacred Selves. Getting unstuck is part of this. Do you make resolutions for the New Year?
How are you kicking off this new year? There is so much hype around the New Year and doing things differently. “New year, new you!” right? Wrong! You are still the same you. In fact you are actually a wiser version of you than you were a year ago. The new calendar year is a time when we hype up making changes to ourselves, to our behaviors, to our way of being. But how many of these changes stick? What if you entered the new year without a resolution but instead with a word. A word to guide you. To be an anchor point. To remind you to be a little more intentional in actions. Maybe this word is one that invites you to strengthen certain behaviors, actions or thoughts. Maybe the word is one that invites you to strengthen your spiritual practice, to bring a little more magic into your day to day life to connect more deeply with yourSelf. What if I told you that you have a chance each and every day to begin again. That you have a moment each and every month that heightens this beginning as the New Moon begins her journey from darkness to light and back again. We are always changing. Always growing. Yes, a new calendar year is a beginning. Yes, you can harness this energy to bring some new energies or practices into your life. But this is not a one shot deal. When February 1st rolls around, if those things you wanted to shift or change are still hanging around, I am here to remind you that this is not a failure. It just means you might have to reevaluate and start again. Or differently. So this year, on this 2nd day of 2022, on this New Moon in Capricorn, I invite you to choose a word to guide you through this coming year. (Mine is LISTEN). Let this be a word that becomes a touchstone for you. Before you make decisions check in with your word. Are these decisions in alignment with it? Do they nourish and support this word, this intention? Write it somewhere you will see it. Revisit that word each day. Notice the way its meaning shifts and changes depending on the minute you are interacting with it, or saying it. Befriend this word and let it be a light that leads you and warms you. And then on the day sometime in February or March or April, where you notice a disconnect from the word, remind yourself that there is a new beginning in each breath. That you can begin again at any time. And that if you need a little more than a sunrise to inspire you to start anew, the moon is there, preparing to cycle through her birth and death and rebirth and you can tap into that moment when she is new for a little extra energy, a little higher vibration. Happy New Year my Magical Friends! A Vow to tend to your Sacred Self Self care has become a buzz word. Connected to spa days and fluffy robes. Something we often feel we don't have time for or something we see as an act "other" people "indulge" in. The truth is different. Self care is essential. It is also sacred. When we intentionally take time to care for ourselves, to refill our energetic tanks and nourish our bodies, we are participating in a powerful act. We are making the statement that we have value, we matter and that what we bring into the world matters. (read that again. You have value) Many of us probably have responsibilities to care for others, whether at home or at work. Or perhaps we have responsibilities to others (deadlines, expectations etc.) And so often when I talk to people (especially women), I hear about the burn out, the exhaustion and often the self sacrifice that is happening to meet these responsibilities. What I have learned in my own workaholism and in the work I do with other people, is that once we are burned out, we are no longer meeting our responsibilities, nor are we functioning at our optimum (or feeling very good). When we ignore our needs or run out of “gas”, we are not acknowledging the value we have. We are not celebrating our sacredness or honoring ourselves. Self care can come in many shapes and forms. It can be as simple as taking quiet time with a cup of tea before you launch into your day. Or can be as elaborate as crafting a ritual for yourself with lots of tools and textures and songs. And self care can fall anywhere on the spectrum between these two things. You are invited to come and share in an exploration and practice of self care. Nourish the Self through the Darkness is 8 hours of intentional practices broken up over a period of one evening and one day (January 14th and 15th), during which we will gather virtually in circle, creating a sacred and safe space to delve into our inner realms and tend the soil within. During these Winter months the call to turn inward can be strong. Together we tap into this and keep our inner hearth fires strong. Throughout our time together we will
